STUDENT REGISTRATION ↗From one classroom in Hell-Ville to an ambition to reach young people across Nosy Be. Meet the people behind Mathagascar and find a way to get involved.

Mathagascar was founded by Neil Nichols and Nathan Stapley, with help from Neil’s family, and set up in collaboration with Learn Achieve Become (LAB).
The idea was simple: create a free, engaging course to equip teenagers with the maths and business skills they can use in everyday life, work and future opportunities.
LAB is a UK-registered charity supporting communities through free education and sports initiatives, with established educational projects on Nosy Be.

Mathagascar launched its first six-week programme in Hell-Ville, Nosy Be.
35 young people took part in the first programme, learning practical maths and business skills.
Our ambition is three teaching locations on Nosy Be, reaching more than 100 students.
The three-location programme and student number are goals for 2027, not confirmed enrolment figures.
We’d love to hear from students, families, potential international volunteers and local partners. Use the student registration and volunteer application forms on their respective pages.
For general questions about Mathagascar or collaborating on the 2027 expansion, email us at hello@mathagascar.org.
Student registrations and volunteer applications are sent privately to the Mathagascar project team.
